Delivery and terms
The terms, written so you can read them in the cab. The full conditions of hire are on the back of every hire agreement and say the same thing at greater length.
Delivery zones

- Order by 3pm for next working day. Same-day in Zone 1 when a lorry is free, £30 extra.
- Someone must be on site to accept delivery and sign. We do not leave machines unattended.
- Access: tell us about gates, soft ground, overhead lines and tight lanes. A wasted journey is charged.
Terms of hire
- Hire periods
- A day is 24 hours from delivery. A week is five working days; weekends are free if the machine stays on site. A month is four weeks.
- Damage waiver
- 12% of the hire charge covers accidental damage with a £500 excess. Without it you are liable for the full repair or replacement value. Theft is not covered by the waiver; your site insurance needs to cover hired-in plant.
- Fuel
- Machines go out full. Bring them back full or we refuel at £1.90 a litre plus a £20 charge.
- Operators
- Machines over 13 t are operated-only. Our operators hold CPCS cards and are charged at £38 an hour, minimum eight hours a day.
- Breakdowns
- Ring the yard. We aim to repair or swap within four hours in Zone 1 and the same day in Zones 2 and 3. Hire is not charged for downtime.
- Off-hire
- Ring or email to off-hire. Charges stop from the next working day and collection follows within two working days.
- Payment
- New customers pay by card before delivery. Account customers, 30 days from invoice. Prices exclude VAT.
What you need to bring
- Photo ID and proof of address for new customers
- A site address and a name for the delivery
- Operator competence cards for anything over 1.5 t (CPCS, NPORS or in-house with evidence)
What we bring
- The machine, fuelled, with the inspection certificate in the cab
- Keys, buckets and attachments as ordered
- A hire agreement to sign, and a handover on the controls if you want one
